Dr. Sheng S. Zhang (Shengshui Zhang) is a senior research chemist in the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Army Research Laboratory (ARL). He has over 30 years of experiences in the fundamental and applied researches on various types of electrochemical energy storage devices, including Li metal batteries, Li-air batteries, Li-ion batteries, supercapacitors, and Li-ion hybrid capacitors. His current research interests are in both new and existing materials for electrochemical energy storage and their implementation in batteries for Army applications.
