Dr. Jihua Gou is Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at the University of Central Florida, Orlando, USA. He is Director of Composite Materials and Structures (CMSL) at the University of Central Florida. His research focuses on synthesis, processing and manufacturing, characterization, testing, and modeling of composite materials and structures. He has served as Associate Editor and Editorial Board Member for numerous scientific journals. He has delivered fellow lecture, keynotes, invited talks, and research seminars at numerous conferences, universities, and industries. He received a bachelor’s degree in 1993 and a master’s degree in material science and engineering in 1996 from Chongqing University. He earned his Ph.D. degree in material science and engineering in 1999 from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He also received a Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering in 2002 from Florida State University.
